Care Corner Photo Journal – Volume 2
It’s no secret that Winnie the Pooh is an important part of Care Corner. To help Care Corner Kids appreciate this incredible bear, we have a traveling Pooh who spends a few days with each kid. In the Pooh Book they get to write about their adventures together. I thought this activity would be fun for the kids but I didn’t realize how much fun it would be for Winnie the Pooh. His travels are now over the year and his memories include:
Many special outings including…
Going to church (Pooh is a very kind Christian)
Shopping at Meijers (for honey)
Shopping at Target
Subway for sandwiches (and a smackerel of honey?)
A trip to the doctor’s office (for a healthy check up)
He celebrated holidays and parties including…
Trick or treating
Tailgating at the Spartan game
Going to see Santa
Riding around to see Christmas lights
A special trip to Silver Bells in the City
A birthday party and a pony party
He played lots of sports including…
Football
Swimming
Working out
Shot hoops
Played air hockey
He had fun outside including…
Going geocaching
Went on a bike ride
Rode in the wagon
Went sledding
Played on the school playground
And he had some quiet time inside including…
Practicing piano
Doing homework and flashcards
Reading (lots of reading)
Playing monopoly
Playing X-box
Dancing to the Pooh CD
Building with Legos
Watched a movie
And even took a selfie picture
He had adventures in his imagination including:
Going to Times Square
Going to Paris
Going on a roller coaster
Deep sea diving
Skydiving
And being a super hero (Batman Pooh!)
And his favorite adventure…snuggling and cuddling. Some kids wrote on their page that they will miss Pooh. They took such good care of him, I have a feeling he will be missing them too. Thanks, Care Corner Kids for these adventures and memories.
